Hi! I’m Becca and I’m the owner and candle creator here at Marsh Creek Candle Co. I started this little candle business in June of 2021 as both a new hobby and dream to one day take this full time. After having my daughter, Madison, in March of 2021 I longed to be able to stay home with her and have a job where I could make my own schedule and be my own boss. I was able to take this business full time in January of 2022 and I have loved the extra time with my daughter and getting to put all of my energy into this company. I have always loved candles and to me there is nothing better then a freshly cleaned house and a candle sitting on the coffee table! I have a whole closet in my house just filled with candles to burn depending on what mood I’m in. But... with a new baby in the house I wanted to make sure the candles we burned were clean and not releasing any harmful chemicals into the air. So I took to candle making and fell in love with it! Using all clean ingredients I knew these candles were safe to burn around my daughter. There is both an art and science to making the perfect candle and I hope you love what I have come up with just as much as I do!
ABOUT MARSH CREEK CANDLE CO.
At Marsh Creek Candle Co. our mission is to provide you beautifully fragranced candles that you can trust have been made with clean, nontoxic ingredients. Our 100% soy wax candles are always phthalate, dye and preservative free and made with sustainably grown USA soybeans and premium grade fragrance oils. Our wicks are made of cotton and primed with a vegetable based wax so they contain no lead or zinc. Each candle is hand poured in small batches with the utmost attention to detail here at our home on the Space Coast of Florida. Marsh Creek was initially founded in 2021 in Wilmington, North Carolina which we called home for 10 years and a year later we moved to Florida.
Why soy wax you ask??? Unlike paraffin wax, soy wax is free from toxins, carcinogens, petroleum and pollutants. Soy wax burns longer and cleaner than paraffin wax releasing less soot into the air. Soy is also a renewable resource while paraffin is derived from petroleum (yay renewable resources!!).
We hope you love our candles and follow our journey as we continue to create. Thank you so much for supporting our small business and this little candle company dream!
